Anjana Bordoloi

abAnjana Bordoloi currently residing in Columbia, Maryland with her husband Krishna Hazarika and son Ashwin Hazarika. She was born in Jorhat, Assam, India.

By profession, she is an IT Project Manager Currently working for ActioNet Inc. Previously, since 2004 she was working for IBM and SRA International.

Over the years, Anjana worked with a number of community based organizations across Maryland, Virginia and North America. Her professional and cultural background helped her to connect with the minority groups sharing cultural heritage through numerus community events. Her strength lies in collaboration and partnership among all the stakeholders.

It’s her privileged to serve the Assamese community as General Secretary of Assam Association of North America (AANA).Anjana Bordoloi is appointed as a Commissioner of South Asian Maryland Governors commission.

As part of American Diversity Group (ADG), she has been instrumental in implementing various health literacy events including a number of health fairs for ethic diverse groups. At ADG, we strive to be the leading organization to provide the best care to everyone through integrated medical practice, education and awareness. We are dedicated to the sole purpose of empowering communities to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.  

Sonal Patel

spSonal Patel currently residing in Olney, Maryland with her husband Kalpesh Patel, daughter Dhara and son Sahil. She was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Sonal Patel is President and CEO of SDK Consulting Inc a Geospatial Search Solution Company supporting National Geospatial Agency, FBI, DHS and Ball Aerospace. She has worked on projects implementing Enterprise Search, Geospatial Analysis and Predictive Analytics.

Over the years, Sonal has served as Vice President ofPTA at Brooke Grove Elementary School and worked for community based organizations across Maryland and Virginia. Her professional and cultural background helped her to connect with the diverse groups sharing cultural heritage through numerous community events. Her strength includes planning, organizing and managing various health fair events for nonprofit organizations.

As part of American Diversity Group (ADG), she has been instrumental in implementing various health fair events for various ethnic diverse groups. At ADG, we strive to be the leading organization to provide the best care to everyone through integrated medical practice, education and awareness. Lorna Imperial Seidel, PHD, AN, DN, CNS

An innovativlre nursing leader, legal nurse consultant, respected nurse entrepreneur and published author. As a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner in private practice, Lorna manages several areas of health care services emphasizing inter-cultural nursing and clinical care encompassing a wide cross section of nursing specialities im administration, critical care, oncology and gerontology. She is the president of Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan D.C. for 2015-2017. A board of trustees of Philipine Nurses Association of America Foundation for 2014-2015. The co-executive director of Mid Atlantic Foundation for Asian Artists, Inc, a non-profit performing arts organisation. A past president of Bicol Association of Metropolitan D.C. , a civic organisation. She is an alumni of Colegio De Santa Isabel University, Philippine Women's University, University of California, Los Angeles and University of Maryland at Baltimore. Her hobbies include travel, swimming and the performing arts. A vigilant transformation organizational nurse strategist with a passion for research, writing and communication to professionals. Lorna understands people, processes and the dynamic influence of today's diverse, hi-tech, multi-generational, mobile world. Her focus is to provide organization around the globe strategies for success and framework to create healthy work environments to lead, empower and transform nurses to have powerful voices thru storytelling, as world class professionals.

Nagarajan Pattabiraman

npNagarajan Pattabiraman warmly called as ‘Nags’ is a Software IT Professional working for US Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as Client. He is an first time Immigrant from Republic of India. His vision and mission is to help people ever. His strength is to get people together with a holistic view of Harmonious co-existence. He loves to meet people, serve the community and spend time with his Family. 
 
Mr. Nags holds Degree in Engineering Technology from Birla Institute of Technology (One of the best Indian Universities in India) with a Global Business Leadership program from Harvard Business School. He is an accomplished professional in Project Management, Agile Methodologies, Oracle Technology, Processes, and Competent Leadership and Communicator through Toastmasters International. All his acquired knowledge helps him to serve the community through self-driven initiatives to conduct Health Fair events for the people. He participates in serving people in the local community events.
 
Apart from being the steering committee member in the American Diversity group, he is engaged with India forum Inc - a non- profit community organization promoting Indian culture, tradition and heritage. He is one of the key organizer of the Holi Dance Competition: Schools of Indian dance compete at all age levels. India Day: A celebration of cultural diversity and rich heritage of India, and the Indo-American Friendship Dinner: An event with a 25 year heritage celebrating the friendship generated with the local communities. 
 
Mr. Nags has received honorary award for his community services from Maryland Governor's citation (2016). His passion to serve the community is well supported by his wife Ramya and daughter Namrata (Student wing leader of American Diversity Club in University of Maryland College Park). 

 

Suriya Kaul

skActivist/poet Suriya Kaul is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children, with a special focus on assisting Asian immigrants. Her community service work includes violence prevention, disaster relief, self-care, healthy relationships and social equity. At the American Diversity Group, she serves as a member of the production team that produces free community health fairs. Most recently, she served on the fundraising committee for the Healing Through Poetry: Nepal Earthquake Relief Project.
 
For over three years Ms. Kaul has volunteered with HopeWorks of Howard County. HopeWorks’ mission is to support and advocate for people affected by sexual and intimate partner violence and engage the community in creating the change required for violence prevention. Ms. Kaul is a graduate of the agency’s Telling This Truth training program and an active member of their Speaker’s Bureau. She also serves as a Community Engagement Advocate, assisting with outreach events and educational programming.  Ms. Kaul is a firm believer in the transformational power of creativity.  Through her poetry published in the arts magazine Dragonfly, she works to empower women and affirm the ability to be resilient through all forms of struggle.
